WHAT IS ELECTRIC TASTE?
Electric Taste is a taste sensation you feel when your tongue is electrically stimulated.
The taste quality varies between people,
but generally everyone can experience sourness, bitterness, saltiness and metallic taste.
UTILIZATION OF ELECTRIC TASTE IN EATING
In this study the electric taste is used as seasonings or additives in food.
We proposed several apparatuses to add electric taste to foods and drinks.
With the addition of Electric Taste, salty and sour flavors become stronger.
It also gives tingling sensation to the tongue. It is not compatible with sweet foods.
The degree of stimulation is not as strong as it changes the structure of the food or the drink.
CONTRIBUTION TO EATING ACTIVITIES AND SCIENCE
We would like to carry out the comprehensively contributions of using Electric Taste.
Electric taste does not have any nutritional value.
So it can be proposed without arguing about its nutritional value.
We are currently investigating the possibility of using it
as a taste additive for restricted foods or to offer healthy foods.
APPARATUSES TO ADD ELECTRIC TASTE TO FOOD
We utilize eating utensils by placing circuits to them to add Electric Taste to foods.
We proposed Polar opposite type apparatuses and Single-pole apparatuses.
We are separately developing it for beverage and food use.
Its degree can be adjusted by the slider on these apparatuses.
COMMUNICATION BY CHANGE IN TASTE
We can use physical contact as the means to switch the circuit on and off.
We use this system for drinking/eating together and body contact.
Sharing an electric taste recipe is easily shared by its waveform data via a delivery site.
When you want to reproduce it you adjust the waveform by an amp.
AUGMENTED GUSTATION USING ELECTRICITY
The difference between exhale and inhale can be recognized by the taste device
if outside information input from a sensor is changed into an Electric Taste pattern and then outputted.
VIEWING SYNCHRONIZED WITH EATING
We can detect whether the user "eat or not" by checking the change of the electric current.
We can synchronize this detection system to our other senses like visual or auditory.
